About this item
This is a signed giclee print on canvas from a painting entitled "Ohana: Two Sisters." "Ohana" means "Family" in Hawaiian; an ohana can include a large group of friends, distant cousins, and other loved ones, or as little as two, such as the two sisters who posed for this painting. Many people who love this painting have seen it as mother and daughter.
This image is one of my earliest and well-known images and was made into a poster that sold out, and reprinted as a large print in several editions. You probably can't see it on this small image, but hidden artfully in the maile lei across one sister's lap is a tiny green gecko!
It's suitable for framing - no glass, please - or run a colorful ribbon around the edges to hide the staples and hang it as is! I sign everything "Aloha, Diana Hansen-Young, 2012" and will personalize it if you tell me how in the note with your order.
This is an especially meaningful gift to give to a sister, a mother, or a daughter. Enjoy!
