About this item
The children ("keiki") of Hawaii are "mixed plate" - and my "hapa-haole" daughters were no exception. They were playing with the two neighbor boys - one haole, one Japanese - and I snapped a photograph and did an original painting that to me, captures the essence of the mixed plate of all Hawaiian children, our island keikis.
And, of course, the ubiquitous red rubber boots. Every keiki in Hawaii has a pair of red rubber boots!
This is an 8" x 10" signed giclee on canvas. I stapled it over stretcher bars. To hide the staples, run a ribbon around the edge and hang it as is, or it's suitable for framing (no glass).
I will sign it, and personalize it if you specify the recipient.
