One of my favorite prints of all time, "Bamboo Moon" was one of my earliest art prints. Color printing for large art prints wasn't available in Hawaii at that time and I sent two or three of the first art prints I made to Hong Kong where there were mega presses available. I remember the level of anxiety of everyone -- would they be damaged in shipping? Were they printed as nice as the proofs? We opened them -- and all was well. There are very few, if any, paper art prints of this left. I am scanning the original CRT (Chrome Reproduction Transparency, a 4" x 5" positive - like a slide) and trying to get everything right so these can be made one at a time in giclee form.
Usually the description is about what inspired the piece, but the clearest impression of this print -- and I love the image!! -- is learning the process. Now, it's easy. Then -- not so much! Enjoy!
