No matter the age of my children, my motherly instincts never end; they simply transform into Nana duties. One such adventure began when I received a frantic call from my child needing someone to watch the kids. Without hesitation, I reached for my trusty cape, which has evolved from the “Mom Cape” to the “Super Nana Cape,” and headed over.
My grandchildren were thrilled to see me. The house was buzzing with energy, and I knew I was in for a lively afternoon. Attempting to do any remote work on my books or take a prescheduled phone call amidst the rambunctious grandchildren was not always possible, but the joy and love that filled the house made it all worthwhile.
Grandparents are the anchors in the whirlwind of childhood. They have a unique ability to find calm in the storm, cherish the little moments, and create lasting memories with their grandchildren. These moments, though sometimes chaotic, are the ones that truly matter.
Love,
Nana
