This affirmation comes from my dad. He said that it became clear to him as a soldier in WW I and the Korean War that one of the most important things was: ALWAYS BE KIND TO THE COOK.
He said that his dad, Chris Hansen, told him the same thing when he was sent to France during World War I, where he was a truck driver bringing food and supplies to the boys in trenches on the front lines.
Number One Rule in our family: Always be kind to the cook!
